Your manager is allowed to reject your request for holiday, based on the stores operational needs for example in periods where several colleagues request vacation in the same period or in peak business periods. JOE & THE JUICE understands that unexpected situations such as emergencies, illnesses, or urgent personal matters may occur, making it necessary for employees to be absent or late.
In case of absence or being late, the employee is required to notify their direct manager by phone call with as much advance notice possible, but at least one hour before the start of the shift, to enable the company to cover necessary work in the employee absence. If the employee is unable to notify the manager by phone because of a sickness, emergency, or other reason, another person must notify the manager on the employee’s behalf.
For absence related to sickness exceeding 7 calendar days, you must obtain a doctor's note specifying the required recovery time to be eligible for Statutory Sick Pay. Please send this documentation to your District Manager and peoplese@joejuice.com.
Your registered sickness is shown in Workplanner, marked with the illness tags. All approved Statutory Sick Pay will be included in the pay run for the following period.
For absence of more than 14 days, a form must be submitted to Försäkringskassan, in order to continue receiving sick pay. Joe & The Juice pays sick pay for day 1-14. You can fill out the form here.
If you need to stay home to care for a sick child, you need to inform your manager the first day of sickness. In addition, you also need to notify Försäkringskassan about the absence within 90 days. The notification is necessary to claim financial compensation for the time spent caring for the child.
If the childs sickness lasts longer than 7 days, a medical certificate from a healthcare provider may be required.

Medical and dental appointments should, to the extent possible, be scheduled outside of working hours. In cases where this is not possible, you are permitted to use the Juicer App's Shift Swap to swap your shift. If you require additional guidance or assistance with swapping your shift, please contact your manager, who will help you find a suitable solution.

When you share your notice, simply include how long you expect your leave to last. This helps everyone plan ahead and make sure you feel fully supported before, during, and after your time away.
