In JOE & THE JUICE we believe that a structured onboarding process is essential to ensure that new employees successfully transition into their new job.
A structured onboarding should provide the employee with the necessary information, alignment of expectations and resources to feel confident and to become an engaged member of your team, while also fostering a positive and welcoming work environment.

A first impression is according to studies made after only 30 seconds.
Researchers at New York University found that first impressions are hard to shake, even when subsequent information contradicts those initial impressions. Participants in the study continued to rate a person as less trustworthy, likable, and competent even when they were presented with information that contradicted their initial impression.
Therefore, it is paramount that the Onboarder is well prepared for the welcome of a new Juicer. Additionally, to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for the new Juicer, it is recommended to schedule their first day of work during a low revenue day, preferably on a Monday Palermo shift.

When having touch base meetings, it is The Onboarders chance to follow up with the Juicer and to make sure the Juicer will feel heard/listened to. This is a key factor when onboarding new employees. It contributes to an onboarding progress where the Juicer will feel acknowledged, included, and heard. Finish all meetings by introducing the agenda for the next meeting.
