Two-step verification for Office365

Two-step verification helps protect you by making it more difficult for someone else to sign into your Microsoft account. It uses two different forms of identity: your password, and a contact method such as SMS or an email.

If you turn on two-step verification, you’ll get a security code to your email, phone, or authenticator app every time you sign in on a device that isn’t trusted (a new device).

Step by step guide to turn two-step verification on/off

  1. Login to your Microsoft account at office.com
  2. Go to your user profile by clicking on your name in the upper right corner.
  1. Click on “View account”
  1. Go to the “Security info” page
  2. Under “Two-step verification” choose “set up two-step verification” and follow the guide.
