The Danish Parliament has implemented a requirement to adjust the Working Hours Act effective from 1st of July 2024. This regulation aims to improve compliance with labor laws and create transparency regarding employee working hours to reduce overtime and burnout.
The time registration policy at JOE & THE JUICE requires all fixed-paid employees to register their daily working hours to ensure compliance with rules regarding maximum daily and weekly working hours.
Working hours are recorded in the Workplanner 2 system (WP2), where usual working hours are pre-filled, and only deviations need to be registered. Working hours are defined as the period during which the employee is at work and available, while self-paid breaks and travel time between home and headquarters do not count as working hours. Time spent on mandatory parts of courses and company events, as well as remote work, counts as working hours.
Employees must register their working hours daily if there are any deviations in working hours, and these records must be approved by the manager every Monday.
Employees with a Moneyball level above Directors are exempt from the requirement to register their hours and will receive an appendix stating this. Some Head Of employees are also exempt from this requirement - this is decided case by case.
You can read the whole policy here, and in case of doubt, please contact People & Development.
