As an employee at JOE, you are eligible for some pension perks if you meet the following criteria:
If you meet these criteria, you will be auto-enrolled into our pension scheme after 3 months of employment with us. This means that you will have your own personal pension when you retire – even if you decide to leave us in the future.
Once enrolled, you will automatically contribute 5% of your pensionable earnings every month. This is taken from your pre-tax earnings and may include government tax relief.
JOE will contribute an additional 3% of your pensionable earnings every month, making the total percentage put into your pension savings 8%.
If you do not meet the above criteria, you can choose to opt into the pension scheme at any time. Alternatively, if you do not wish to participate in the pension scheme, you can choose to opt out. However, by opting out, you will also forfeit any employer contributions. This opt-out process must be completed through your online Smart Pension account within one month of receiving your Smart Pension account login details via email.
