Joe's Espresso Blend- espresso recipe

  • Dose - 18g
  • Yield - 36g
  • Extraction times 25-30 seconds

Joe's Filter Blend - drip and iced recipe

  • Standard dose for full batch - (1 gallon) 250g ground coffee
  • Refer to recipe and procedure on E Campus for hot and cold drip coffee
  • Cleaning procedures on E Campus for drip coffee dispensers
  • Procedure for programming drip brewer on E Campus

Drip and iced recipe

Hot Drip Coffee

  1. Weigh out 250g of Fast Forward beans
  2. Set EK 43 grinder to desired number - grind size will vary depending on flavour needed- (finer stronger) (coarser weaker)
  3. Place paper filter into basket
  4. Ensure hopper gate is closed and add beans to hopper
  5. Start motor on EK grinder, place basket with filter paper under and release hopper gate to grind coffee dose into filter paper
  6. Level ground coffee in basket and place into brewer
  7. Place washed out and clean 1 gallon coffee dispenser into position and start the brew process- button no.1
  8. Once brew is complete set timer for 2 hours- when alarm sounds at 2 hour discard old coffee and make fresh batch

Hot Half Batch

  1. Weigh out 135g of Fast Forward beans
  2. Set EK 43 grinder to desired number7 as a starting point - grind size will vary depending on flavour needed - (finer stronger) (coarser weaker)
  3. Place paper filter into basket and prewet paper filter
  4. Ensure hopper gate is closed and add beans to hopper
  5. Start motor on EK grinder, place basket with filter paper under and release hopper gate to grind coffee dose into filter paper
  6. Level ground coffee in basket and place into brewer
  7. Place washed out and clean 1 gallon coffee dispenser into position and start the brew process - BUTTON2 - HALF BATCH
  8. Once brew is complete set timer for 2hours - when alarm sounds at 2 hours discard old coffee and make fresh batch

Iced Drip Coffee (add ice to the dispenser)

  1. Weigh out 250g of Fast Forward beans
  2. Set EK 43 grinder to desired number - grind size will vary depending on flavourneeded- (finer stronger) (coarser weaker)
  3. Place paper filter into basket
  4. Ensure hopper gate is closed and add beans to hopper
  5. Start motor on EK grinder, place basket with filter paper under and releasehopper gate to grind coffee dose into filter paper
  6. Level ground coffee in basket and place into brewer
  7. Weigh out 1.3kg of ice and add to washed out and clean coffee dispenser
  8. Place washed out and clean 1 gallon coffee dispenser into position and startthe brew process- button no.2
  9. Ensure all ice has melted otherwise stir to break ice down
  10. Once brew is complete set timer for 2 hours- when alarm sounds at 2 hours discard old coffee and make fresh batch
