RMLP Exam Presentation

Introduction

After completing both theoretical and practical training in all the modules, the Regional Manager is now fully prepared to take the final exam. During this exam, the RM will showcase their knowledge of the program and be assessed on how well they have retained the material and their ability to implement the learnings effectively to their own stores.

The final exam presentation is an opportunity for the Regional Manager to demonstrate their skillset and mindset to members of the Market Management team.

The exam consist of 3 subjects (10 minutes each) and a validation (10 minutes) with a total duration of the exam being 40 minutes.

RM Learning Objective

The Regional Manager is expected to have a Commercial mindset, which is the ability to create operational excellence by leading and developing people in alignment with our company values.

The RM is required to demonstrate the commercial mindset by mastering both people and operational perspectives within their work methods.

Performance Indicators & Learning objectives

The RM will evaluated on the following criteria:

  • Is the RM capable of demonstrating a Value Based Leadership Mindset?
  • Is the RM capable of demonstrating both people and operational skills?
  • Is the RM capable of making actions that are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely?
  • Is the RM capable of honestly reflecting upon their own Regions performance?
  • Is the RM capable to distinguish between short-term and long-term strategies?
  • Is the RM capable of connecting the dots with choice of appropriate skill to the situation?
  • Is the RM capable of arguing the why for their choice and approach?
  • Is the RM capable of trusting the process by focusing on People Development above numbers?

Presentation Structure

The RM will present a total of three subjects during the exam. The Trainer and the Censor is obligated to uphold a dialogue during the presentation of each subject to ensure that all essential aspects of the RM Leadership Program are covered.
The Trainer and Censor are responsible for guiding the dialogue, keeping track of time, and following the agenda during the presentation.

The RM will throughout the exam cover Team Performance Overview, 3-Months Plan and solve a Case Study by activating relevant Leadership Skills learned from the Program.

Please note: The RM must have filled out and updated their complete Excel Toolbox in order to attend the exam.

Introduction (2 Minutes)

The RM will start the exam by presenting their own most important Leadership Values; one people and one operational focused value. The RM will explain how they strive to use them in alignment with Company Values in their daily work.

1: Team Performance Overview - Pipeline (10 Minutes)

Why: RM to present why it is important to work with this tool and explain main theory from the module.

What: RM to explain the main functions of the Team Performance Overview toolbox.

How: RM to present and argue for overall and selected pipeline performance scores.

*The RM will be asked to present and deep dive the performance and rating for three selected employees: One pipeline, one stable and one critical.

2: 3-Months Plan - Strategic Thinking (10 Minutes)

Why: RM to present why it is important to work with this tool and explain main theory from the module.

What: RM to explain the main functions from the 3-Months Plan toolbox.

How: RM to present and argue for overall and selected focus areas and goals.


*The RM will be asked to present and deep dive the actions for one selected store within their Region.

3: Situational Study Case - Connecting the Dots (10 Minutes)

Why: RM to select two leadership skills to show situational leadership and explain main theory from each module.

What: RM to present the content in the chosen Case Study.

How: RM to present an action plan to solve the situation and improve circle operational excellence, both short- and long term.


*The RM will be asked to explain the root cause of the selected situational study case.

Validation

The RM will be rated from 1-4 points within each subject:

The Trainer will download and/or print the Validation sheet to take notes, provide constructive feedback and give a final rating.

After a completed exam, the RM is qualified to receive a diploma and certificate.
