The Send Out station is where we collect products for all orders and send them out to the guests both for in-store orders, app orders and 3rd-party delivery orders. Follow the steps below when carrying out a Send Out Station training:
Teach the practical procedures on shift by covering all areas of this training module using the training tag: Send Out Station on WP2
Carry out a module validation at the end of the training shift to measure performance
The following days, the Trainee practices all training goals until they are ready for the validation
Carry out a module validation to measure performance. Use the validation tag: Send Out Station Validation. If the Trainee passes, register the validation as passed in WP2 move on to the next module
When sending out orders, the Send Out will pay close attention to what type of order it is. It is important that the correct procedures for the type of order are followed, to offer our guests a convenient experience when picking up their order.
In Joe we serve orders in three different ways:
1. To-Stay
2. To-Go
3. To-Go with bag
All orders To-Go must follow the Lean Packaging Procedures.
In addition, the orders can be served in two different places:
It's important that the Send Out Juicer follows all the correct serving procedures communicated by The List at all times.
See how to read The List below:
See how it looks in practice here:
The following illustration is a guide for how the Send Out should package orders in to-go bags:
The following illustration shows all the steps in handling orders received from App pre-orders and 3rd Party.
The Send Out is responsible for the correct placement of orders using App Pick Up Wall & Send Out Area depending on the type of order (to go, to stay, app and 3rd party):
- Preparing to go bags
- Places all straws/cutlery/napkins in the bag
- Add receipt to all App & 3rd Party delivery bags
- If an order requires more than one bag, write X/X on the bags, communicate with stations and follow up to ensure if guest/courier picks up all bags.
- Where to place finished to go bags.
- How to place finished products at the Send Out Area
- Where to deliver finalized orders
Everything that happens within the red-dotted line needs to be controlled by the Send Out.
When sending out orders, always hand over the orders with Eye-Contact, Smile & "Enjoy"
There is a Send Out juicer:
If there is a Send Out assigned, they are responsible for tapping out everything on The List. This is to ensure the Send Out keeps a full overview of The List and product making at all times. (If products have been tapped out by someone else, it is still the Send Out's responsibility to follow up).
There is NO Send Out Juicer:
If there is no Send Out assigned, each product making station is responsible for tapping out products. The station making the last product in an order is responsible for tapping out the last order and sending the full order out to the guest.
To provide the Send Out with the best conditions for delivering orders to guests, each station has specific responsibilities when working with the Send Out.
Sandwich Station
Marks the sandwich box correctly with all additional and customized toppings.
Juice Station
Places finished products in the order of The List and closest to the Juice Station. This is to avoid confusion.
Provide straws for to stay orders and no straw for to go orders.
The following are the goals for working on the Send Out Station. The goals function as the guide in what the Juicer should be trained in and practice towards their validation
*If mistakes occur, recognise it, and do it over*
Follow station hygiene procedures:
- Wash hands & wear gloves
Type of orders:
- Understands the symbols and color coding
- (list down symbols and color coding)
Lean Packaging:
- Follows pre-order workflow
- Receipt on bag before packaging order
- Packs all orders correctly
- Ensures all cutlery, napkins and straws are added
- Double check orders before sending out
Sending Out
- Taps out all products made on the List and maintains full overview
- Delivers full orders to guest with smile and eye-contact
Waste:
- Register all discarded items on the Waste feature
The following assessment is used when validating a Juicer on the Send Out Station. The validation areas are identical with the Training Goals.
